Ages 9 - 12
40 minutes of water fitness and fun in the YMCA pool and 40 minutes of traditional exercises, games and music to get your child moving toward a healthier lifestyle. Stability balls, weights, tubing and steps, as well as toys your child may already have at home, may be used. Come dressed to move; sneakers, non-restrictive clothing and a water bottle are a must.
 

YOUTH SPLASH AND FIT

Class includes strength, cardiovascular and flexibility training. Participants can enroll in a combination of any one of the following class days and times, but are limited to a minimum of one day per week and maximum of two days per week.

Ages 13 - 17
Learn the fundamentals of weight training including proper technique, spotting and the correct exercises for you. Bob DeRisi is a certified personal trainer and world and national power lifting champion. Space is limited.

Sports Agility Training for ALL School Athletes Ages 12 to 17 years. This class will include a variety of speed and conditioning drills that will concentrate on improving agility, balance and explosiveness for all athletes. This class will also focus on core exercises aimed to help core strength.

YOUTH POWER HOUR FOR AGES 7-12

This fun and energetic class will use common exercise equipment to provide cardio-vascular, strength, flexibility and agility training. This class will supply kids with exercise and motion through high energy fitness games, relays and other physical activities.

LEARNING THROUGH CREATIVE PLAY

Two classes (6-8 year olds) and (9-12 year olds)
Ask any kid what his favorite school subject is, and the answer you will often get is “Recess.” You remember those days - getting to go out and play with your friends rather than sit at a desk and learn stuff. This class will help reinforce basic math and word concepts through physical play. Kids will play fun and exciting games and at the same time will be receiving academic enrichment. Our instructor for this new and exciting program is both a YMCA fitness instructor and a PA certified teacher.

YMCA Bucket Drumming for 10 years and Up!

YMCA Bucket Drumming for 10 years and up! Class limited to 10 students.

Bucket drumming is a very popular and inexpensive opportunity for students of all ages to develop percussion skills. Come join the fun and learn how to count rhythm, stay in time and get interested in music.
