POOL POLICIES:
1. For the safety of our members and staff, the pool must close in the event of thunder and lightning. The pool will re-open after 20 minutes have passed without another occurrence of either thunder or lightning.
2. In order to limit distractions and to ensure safety of our children, the YMCA asks that all parents watch their children's lessons from the observation areas.
3. All children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult in the water.
4. Lap swimming is for ages 13 and up.
5. No swimmers wearing bubble belts as a swimming aid are permitted in the deep end of the pool.
6. Classes that are cancelled due to events that are out of the YMCA's control, such as thunder, lightning emergency pool cleanings etc., will not be made up. The YMCA will offer make up classes in the event of class cancellations due to operational errors, such as staff shortages, illnesses, absences, etc.
7. To ensure proper class ratios, registration for all classes will be accepted until the end of the second class of each session. At that point, all class registrations will close.
